Session Tips
WHAT TO WEAR
For group portraits, coordinating colors and styles work best. Hang your outfits together and prepare your hair and makeup before your session.
MAKEUP
Apply slightly heavier makeup than usual to avoid shine. Use translucent powder to reduce any glare.
KEEP IT FUN
Plan outfits in advance and feel free to bring personal items like sports gear or favorite accessories to add personality to your photos.
ON-TIME ARRIVAL
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to select your package and complete payment before the session begins.
NEWBORN PORTRAITS
Newborns are most cooperative in the morning. Schedule sessions within the first 2-3 weeks for the best results.
DRESSING NEWBORNS
Keep clothing simple to highlight your baby. Diaper covers work well, and accessories like headbands or hats can add charm.
BRING SNACKS
Remember to bring snacks and drinks, especially for little ones. We welcome pets but let us know in advance, and please ensure they're comfortable and well-behaved.

How to Order
Here are several ways for you to place an order with Herres Photography:
1. Order online using your gallery access page. Our online shopping experience is very easy to use! Request a demo ordering gallery to see how to order, view all of our products and pricing, or check out this pricing guide.
2. Call your order in with payment. Provide the pose number and size, and we’ll total the price and collect your address and payment information.
3. Set up an ordering appointment at the studio and view photos on the big screen or order with our touch screen.
Herres Photography is doing business as SunnValley. You will see this on your CC statements. Checks may be made payable to Sunnvalley or Roxanne Herres. If checks bounce you will be charged the bank fee.
What to expect
BOOKING
Schedule at least 1 week in advance.
Studio hours are daytime, with limited evenings/weekends. Closed on Sundays and holidays.
Email/phone is required for booking.
SESSION DAY AND PAYMENT
Arrive 5-10 minutes early for paperwork/payment.
Full payment required before the session.
Credit cards accepted; no payment plans.
Rescheduling requires payment.
AFTER YOUR SESSION
Portraits are lightly retouched within 1-2 weeks.
Notified when ready; access gallery online or in person.
Only purchased items receive final retouching.
Payment required before printing/ordering.
Shipping is available; pickup by appointment.

Session Options
Inside the Studio
The studio is conveniently located in a private setting off Route 3 Columbia, NH. We have a large studio with a changing room and bathroom access. We have over 20 backdrops to choose from and a variety of seating and props to choose from or you are welcome to bring your own. Our studio has been newly renovated and includes a shooting area and a consulting area. Visits to the studio are by appointment only for sessions, meetings, and picking up orders. I can also deliver within 5 miles of the studio. We have a big TV if you want to view your images with friends on the big screen or use our touch screen to save favorites, zoom in or place orders online.
Outside the Studio
Outside of our studio, we have over 2 acres of manicured property. Herres Photography has a bridge, a barn side, fences, rock walls, a willow tree, benches, scenic vistas, a farmer’s porch, and more! Herres Photography has plenty of parking, including directly at the entrance. The studio is wheelchair accessible. Pets are welcome. Please keep them on a leash if you’re are not sure how they will react. Please let me know ahead of time if you are bringing a pet. All visits to the studio are by appointment only.
Nearby the Studio
Herres Photography is set in one of the most beautiful scenic areas in the Connecticut River Valley. Nearby we have a covered bridge, river accesses, VT Barns, an old schoolhouse, scenic mountain vistas, fields, and dirt roads. We don’t have to travel too far to get some of the most unique beautiful scenery in the area.
